These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the UNBLOK website and services provided by UNBLOK ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing our website or enrolling in our tutoring services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
- About UNBLOK
UNBLOK is an online education platform providing one-to-one tutoring services for students primarily following the UK curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level, in subjects such as Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Coding. All sessions are conducted online.
- Eligibility
By using our services, you confirm that:
* You are a parent, guardian, or authorised representative of the student, or the student is 18 years or older.
* The information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.
* You agree to ensure the student attends sessions in a safe and appropriate environment.
- Registration & Account Information
Parents or guardians must provide accurate contact details and relevant academic information during registration. UNBLOK reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrolment if information provided is false or misleading.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and communication channels used for scheduling.
- Services Provided
UNBLOK offers:
* Live one-to-one online tutoring sessions
* Free assessment sessions
* Personalised learning plans
* Progress tracking and feedback
We aim to match each student with a suitable tutor, but specific tutor availability cannot always be guaranteed.
- Session Scheduling
* Session schedules are agreed upon mutually between UNBLOK and the parent/student.
* Any changes to scheduled sessions must be communicated at least 12 hours in advance.
* Sessions cancelled with less than 12 hours’ notice may be considered forfeited.
- Payments & Fees
* All fees are communicated clearly before enrolment.
* Payments must be made in advance for booked sessions or packages.
* Fees are non-refundable once sessions have commenced, except at UNBLOK’s discretion.
* Accepted payment methods will be specified at the time of booking.
- Free Assessment Sessions
Free assessment sessions are subject to availability and are offered as a one-time introductory service. UNBLOK reserves the right to discontinue or limit free assessments at any time.
- Tutor Conduct & Learning Quality
UNBLOK strives to maintain high-quality teaching standards. Tutors are selected based on qualifications and teaching ability. However, academic improvement depends on multiple factors including student effort, attendance and engagement.
We do not guarantee specific grades or examination results.
- Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
* Attend sessions on time
* Participate actively
* Complete assigned homework and practice work
* Maintain respectful behaviour during sessions
Disruptive behaviour may result in session termination.
- Recording of Sessions
Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. By using our services, you consent to such recordings. Recordings will not be shared publicly without permission.
- Cancellations & Termination
UNBLOK reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if:
* Payments are overdue
* There is repeated misconduct
* Terms are violated
Parents may terminate services with written notice, subject to any outstanding payments.
- Intellectual Property
All content, teaching materials, lesson plans and resources provided by UNBLOK remain the intellectual property of UNBLOK and may not be shared, reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.
- Limitation of Liability
UNBLOK shall not be held liable for:
* Missed academic targets
* Technical issues beyond our control
* Internet connectivity failures
* Indirect or consequential losses
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the services during the affected period.
- Data Protection & Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect and use data.
- Amendments
UNBLOK may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of updated Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
